An Awe full look

The path was easy
My legs made them hard
The sun was shining
The curtains didn’t let it be as warm
I had the lights but not an eye
I shouted for miles
Forgot one had put my voice
At a place for it to hide
I felt my breath every time I released
Never could sense it
When tried to take in

Heaven I got
By the creator of gods
Hell I made
With sins on my sword

Pages were enough in my life
The ink was short
I knew what to write for feelings to express
The words that existed were not sufficient enough
The bed was comfortable
On it sleep was not
I had a pond full of dreams
Whenever turned but for thirst
The weather was of draught

I had the hunger plus the food
Yet never ever ate to full
I had the will
Plus the nerves
Plus the strength
To calm it all
All I got
Was the fall
That too, too short

The sky was not
I was the limit
All went ahead
I kept boasting about my merit
The shine of gold
Shadow took
Even a gaze in the mirror now
Is all about an awe full look.

The Village

Chirping of birds
Used to be my alarm
I used to get the time
By feeling how sun is warm
The smell in water of hand pumps
Quenched thirst better than these filters
Yes, I live today on city's topmost edge
Yet, can't see as far as I used to
From the lowest window in my village

Stars were my night bulbs
Windows were my switch for the A.C.
The veggie mart was just at the back, in my lawn
And every evening felt like festival
When we used to lit up the lamps by our hands

Yes, I did not had luxury
But had the comfort
Yes, I did not had the limelight
But it was worth
I still miss the innocence
All had in their smiles
Yes, I did not had bags full of dollars
But, I had a life.
