The girl

Her glasses stuck upon the window glass
Sitting on the window
Hairs unwind
She had blown off all the lamps
And was waiting for him
With a rose in her hands

To all astonishment
The rose never dried
The girl however knew
He won't return as he has had enough of the cry
When she had the time
She held it like sands
Now all that is left
Is a rose in her hands

The time does flies
She thinks & glee
Look towards the birds flying
And believes so will she
She also marked to keep her feet
All through the flight, rooted to ground
And that the rose forever remains into her hands

The life left

On one side
I see the freedom
The thrill of journey
The sight of new moon rising
On other side,
I see the cage
The sadness and grief
The lost warrior

On one side
I have the world to conquer
To rule
To sway
On other side
I have the corner
To sit and weep
To be weak and meek

One one side
I see even the stars getting flabbergasted by me
On other side
I see the disappointments

On one side
I have the time to live in now
On other side

I have the life, I have left.

The Lost

The light far there, was fascinating
The fire within, wasn't igniting
Those eyes there, were adorable
The heart within, wasn't loveable
The stars out there, were twinkling
The moon beside, wasn't shining
Those grasses in the meadows out there, were green
The trees I had en-rooted, didn't grew
The birds high above, were flying
The wings on me, were burdened
I had all the well wishers all around
The happiness within, wasn't surround
The echoes that came back, were clear
The voice from within were not
The sky, the sun, the stars, so dear
I got from them all the furs
And she in front, was blur
I don't regret for what I never possesed
I weep for the leaps that leaped
Yes, I admit
The angels were always with me
The God within, lost.

ALIVE

The speech that I wrote
From the stage to be roared
Thundered as expected
But also, fell at the very place
Where I only nested

Luckily, I wasn't there
Or unluckily should I say?
I feel like the sun now
Which doesn't has its day

But nights are still mine!
The stars in those nights still shine!
What's getting older, is just the wine
And I, am still alive!

An Awe full look

The path was easy
My legs made them hard
The sun was shining
The curtains didn’t let it be as warm
I had the lights but not an eye
I shouted for miles
Forgot one had put my voice
At a place for it to hide
I felt my breath every time I released
Never could sense it
When tried to take in

Heaven I got
By the creator of gods
Hell I made
With sins on my sword

Pages were enough in my life
The ink was short
I knew what to write for feelings to express
The words that existed were not sufficient enough
The bed was comfortable
On it sleep was not
I had a pond full of dreams
Whenever turned but for thirst
The weather was of draught

I had the hunger plus the food
Yet never ever ate to full
I had the will
Plus the nerves
Plus the strength
To calm it all
All I got
Was the fall
That too, too short

The sky was not
I was the limit
All went ahead
I kept boasting about my merit
The shine of gold
Shadow took
Even a gaze in the mirror now
Is all about an awe full look.

The Village

Chirping of birds
Used to be my alarm
I used to get the time
By feeling how sun is warm
The smell in water of hand pumps
Quenched thirst better than these filters
Yes, I live today on city's topmost edge
Yet, can't see as far as I used to
From the lowest window in my village

Stars were my night bulbs
Windows were my switch for the A.C.
The veggie mart was just at the back, in my lawn
And every evening felt like festival
When we used to lit up the lamps by our hands

Yes, I did not had luxury
But had the comfort
Yes, I did not had the limelight
But it was worth
I still miss the innocence
All had in their smiles
Yes, I did not had bags full of dollars
But, I had a life.

Rain, Ruins, Regrets

I could have walked
Through the pebbles along the path
But, it was raining
And, I was too afraid to get wet

I had the nerves to soak the thunders
I had the urge to amaze the wonders
The storm needed my nod to roar
The clouds needed my applaud to pour
My eyes had the fire
To burn the rain
My arms had the power
To put every evil’s eye to vain
You should have seen the way
I used to roar
It used to echo
From one shore to another shore

I had it all
Yet I failed
I know, I could have
Challenged my fate
Fought with the waves
Moulded the irons
Defeated the lions
But!
It was raining
And I was too afraid to get wet

I or Me

Amid the smoke
You see I
I and not me
Because me is calm
Composed and mature
I is ire
Both storm and fire
Me don't lie
Me is honest and polite
I is shrewed
Both maniac and screwed
Me wins all
I conquers both rise and fall
Me keeps it straigh
With the words I play
Me sees the sun
I keeps the darkness stunned

Yet, both is here
Both far and near
Both evil laugh
And innocent cry
Are within the same
Earthly eyes

Who are you?
I or me?
Because all what I said
Was not a story to narrate
It was the one thing
Within themselves which everyone orates.

SHADOW

There was someone
I saw from far
I could only but
See her shadow.

Shivering a bit
Eyes all around staring with fear
Hands and lips closed up for praying
I could trace all this from far itslef
That too only
Just by her shadow!

I peeked and leaned
To pick her up
Could not but
Find anything other than the shadow.

She had lost every bit
By the bites & claws
There was nothing left in her
Other than the shadow.

But no, Not the end
Was that what I saw
There were few bits of glaze
Still left in her shadow.

She must stand, She will!
She must fight, She will!
She must end up being the epitome of power, She will!
As, if it would have been only dark all around
There would have not existed
Even her shadow.

The Sinking Ship

I lost something when everything I got
For what I had  got was for the something I had
I fought with the winds to float my ship
I begged with the waves to float my ship
I couldn't see stars at night
As I had eyes on the sea
I couldn't feel the drops of the rain roaring around
As I had to feel only the sea
Never did I desired the sea to be calm
I knew that lines of luck don't belong to my palm
The journey I was set onto, was never meant to be low
I was ready to sit back and hit the mightiest flow
All through this, never for once did I pondered
Whether the ship to be worth to fight for and wander
Amidst the deadly  days and night
Amidst the thundering and storming sights
Amidst the journey, my dear ones asked not to set go
Amidst the trees of thorns, by the virtue of devil which was set to flow
I won with the waves
Yet lost on the way
I won with others
Yet lost by self
I had already accepted my death
To be on the sea bed while on trip
But not that I would die being safe
In the sinking ship.

Mighty who?

The white clouds
Upon the the dark ones
Upon the layers of mountains
Below the hard sun
All these mighty creations
Along with the roaring thunders and shower of rain
And at the other side was the mere I
Glazing and fearing and also being amazed

The wind then blew and whispered to me
No one who is meek and weak
Can withstand the sight of such powerful streaks
You have the will and so you are here
You have the skill and so you are here
You have the words to shatter any wall
You have the brightness to lighten up the hall
Your eyes have the sharpness to tear within the clouds
Your muscles are ripped to cut down any sword

It’s all from you
It’s all within you
It’s you who said these mountains to be mighty
It’s you who think only nature has variety
The wind then paused
Without concluding all
And left me with thoughts
Wondering, whether I was the one mighty

Or those thundering clouds

The sky too high

The tighter I held
The loosen it went
“It’s sand, my friend”, some wise people said
So is the time
Never in control
The more you try to control
The more it controls
I tried to hold the time
The merry time
The happy time
The time which gave me all
And I had the fairy life
The time which gave me love
The time which gave me smile
The time which gave me a reason
To work hard and fly
Not to be in crowd
Not be like all
Not be common
But to stand out and perform
I became honest with it
I never lied
Later realised, there is where problem lied
To survive, you ought to be brutal
You ought to be diplomat
You ought to be in spotlight
And let your shrewdness outshine
All the truth
All the facts
All the things which can hurdle up your height
But still I fought
Being what I am
And now I lie on the bed near a window
From where the sky looks too high.

The magical girl

My heart melted
With the voice so pure
The giggle which cheered
Any soul for sure
Her eyes were majestic
And sight anyone would adore
I tried to touch the magic
Very rare to be seen
Without realising the magic is abstract
Only to feel
Only to enjoy
Only to cure the sadness
Without reason which lies
Only to rejoice and celebrate the time
Only to hold the moment
Inside the beautiful eyes
I lost her sight the closer she was
The closer she was
I could not look at her as my strength
Only the ruins were left within the ashes of imagination
Of the world I had believed
To exist in fascination
Disappointments made me better
Made me strong
Taught me that novelty can only be drawn
From the sight
From the behaviour
And no one owns them
They just use it more or lesser

So I call that girl a magic
A ferry who escalated my world which was static
So, I still wait for her
With the same level of madness
As she only made me believe
That a ray of light was enough

To curse the darkness.

Almost there

Not often I mean what I say
Not often I say what I mean
Sounds same but not so
Just like the stars which look alike
Just like the water, all of which is wet
So were we,
Almost same
Almost together
Where the love lies
We were almost there

Struggling to find the One
Each other were not
We were catching the fish
In a swampy water
Looking for a lotus
In a fairy river
Trying to drink
From an ocean
And looking to fish
From the water spread on floor

All was wrong
All said that
Still, we didn't believed
We believed each other to be look alike
And the world?
Ah! it never says good
We both thought it and for each other always stood
Even right now, we both are there
Almost same
Almost together
And that's what all
Love says to adhere
Not to be perfect
Not to be idol
Just to be together in whatever horizon.

Silent nights

These silent nights
Never leave me not to be amused

I think of the day to come
The things to happen
And the equation which could sum
The uncertainty, the risk
All that lies ahead, be it beauty or bliss
These silent nights
Never leave me not to be amused

I judge myself and those around
I get new ideas and some old nostalgic warms
I am often lost there and find every time me
Cry in peace and also sometimes without reason glee
Oh! These silent nights
Never leave me not to be amused

Usually I prefer the crowd
I like the commotion
I love the scene stealer's crown
But these nights
Never leave me not to be amused
I get deep somewhere in these bright nights
Deep within the thoughts
Within the emotions
Within the miraculous plots
They show me the light
Not even the sun can
They quench my thirst
In a way no river can
And they tell me who I am
In a way not even I can
And so I say, these silent nights
Never leave me not to be amused.
