Red Rose

Don’t give me rose
And ever if you give
Ensure, that it remains red forever

I have lived in hardship
I have worshiped and been worshiped
I have seen that only glory can bury or conquer them
Those which are called
Guilts & sins
And those which are needed
To convert a defeat into win
All I learnt through these years are worldly affairs
And so, I say
Don’t give me rose
And ever if you give
Ensure, that it remains red forever

I have seen people leaving me
I have seen people begging me
I have seen how
Success and failure
Make them own and disown me
With all I have seen
I, no longer have interest in those blues
And so, I say
Don’t give me rose
And ever if you give
Please ensure, that it remains red forever

It’s not that I never lifted them
It’s not that I never gifted them
I also sometimes held them with truth
I also, sometimes sung the rhythmic blues
But all I  got in return
Were tears and pain
And I was always left alone
In the unholy rain
And so, I say
Dear, don’t give me rose
And if ever you give

Please ensure, that it remains red forever.
