Rain, Ruins, Regrets

I could have walked
Through the pebbles along the path
But, it was raining
And, I was too afraid to get wet

I had the nerves to soak the thunders
I had the urge to amaze the wonders
The storm needed my nod to roar
The clouds needed my applaud to pour
My eyes had the fire
To burn the rain
My arms had the power
To put every evil’s eye to vain
You should have seen the way
I used to roar
It used to echo
From one shore to another shore

I had it all
Yet I failed
I know, I could have
Challenged my fate
Fought with the waves
Moulded the irons
Defeated the lions
But!
It was raining
And I was too afraid to get wet
